As the honor guard enters the amphitheater at Wesley Bolin Memorial Plaza, brothers in law enforcement, family and friends of the five officers killed in the line of duty in 2016 enter the corridor of honor.

The 44th annual Arizona Peace Officer Memorial Service on May 1 honors their sacrifice while protecting the citizens they swore to defend.

Their names and End of Watch (EOW) are now etched into the stone memorial on the east side of the amphitheater — Officer Michael Haddad, Hayden Police Department, March 12; Officer David Glasser, Phoenix Police Department, May 19; Agent Manuel Alvarez, U.S. Border Patrol, Aug. 11; Officer Leander Frank, Navajo Department of Public Safety, Aug. 30; and Officer Darrin Reed, Show Low Police Department, Nov. 8.
